Giovina “Jeannette” D’Amico Filiaggi of West Chester Giovina “Jeannette” D’Amico Filiaggi, 88, passed into eternal life at her home on Tuesday, August 28, 2012. She was born in Atri, Italy and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina Carulli D’Amico. Jeannette loved to cook and bake and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who gave her so much joy. She worked for many years as a cashier at Guinta’s Market as well as Colonial Village Meat Market until May 2011. She is survived by eight children, Jean Colombo (Dominick), Joseph Jr. (Roberta), Richard (Antoinette), Diane Filiaggi, David (Paula), Marie Capone (Robert), Mark (Megan) and Alfred (Sharon), as well as 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Edith Ciarrocchi and Yolanda Fidanza. Jeannette was preceded in death by her daughter Anita Filiaggi Lloyd, her late husband Joseph with whom she shared 63 years of marriage, her brothers Anthony and Alfred D’Amico, and infant sister, Yolanda D’Amico. The family would especially like to thank the many caregivers, hospice nurses and aides, as well as friends who helped Jeannette and her family during this difficult time. We are forever grateful. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 31, at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 15 E. Pleasant Grove Road, Westtown, where friends may call from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Kennett Square. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 1617 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103; or Neighborhood Hospice & VNA, 795 E.
